¿RETAZOS?

Retazos translates: remnants, bits + pieces, scraps. Since coming to Merida I have saved 99% of my wood scraps. A few years ago I began thinking what I could do with the myriad collection of wood scraps I had amassed from the restoration of my Colonial home.

The first was an assembly of wood pieces resembling a city scape. Next was a mobile from tenon cut offs that has hung in my Zapote tree for several years. Once I began turning on a lathe I had a supply of stars used in many of my mobiles.
